Wondering how the Double Arrow Resort fits in Western Montana? The Double Arrow Resort lies in a narrow valley between two mountain ranges – the Mission Mountains to the west and the Swan Front Range, bordering the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area to the east. From the Main Lodge the mountains frame the meadow and golf course offering a spectacular view. Many of the lodges offer a view of the Mission Mountains. There are approximately 45 miles of maintained Forest Service hiking trails in the Mission Mountains Wilderness Area. The Swan Front Range borders the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area and provides access to the Bob – as well as miles of trails developed to lead hikers to outstanding features along the front. The Bob Marshall Wilderness Area is a one million plus acre wild-land area, ¼ larger than the state of Rhode Island. 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails are maintained in the area between the Mission Mountains and the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. The Scapegoat Wilderness area straddles the continental divide, immediately south of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. Glacier National Park is 100 miles north of the Double Arrow Resort, a scenic 2 hour drive. Many of our guests plan a day trip to Glacier National Park or continue their Montana vacation with a trip to Glacier National Park. A wide assortment of lodging options are available, including lodges, cabins, and bed & breakfasts. We are happy to assist with referrals. The Seeley Swan Valley is conveniently on the route from Yellowstone National Park to Glacier National Park. Check out our lodging page for a complete list of available rooms, cabins, and lodges.
